Playing cricket is a great way to make friends, keep fit and have some fun in the sun! And doing so at Bluntisham Cricket Club with county standard facilities and top quality coaches, sounds a great way to spend your summer!
This year BCC will be running two age group teams in the Huntingdonshire Junior Cricket League, continuing to provide opportunities for youngsters in the village to play competitive sport. The teams will be at Under 11 and Under 13 ages.

When Spring finally arrives, training will commence in our first-class dual lane net facility on Friday the 26th of April at Bluntisham Park. The timings differ depending on your age group: 6.30 - 7.30 for Under 11's and 7.30 - 8.30 for Under 13's. The possibility of having a couple of indoor sessions prior to this date is being looked into.
Head of our Junior section, Steve Dighton, is also running a cricket taster session at Cubs on the 4th March for the Under 11 age group.
Ian Cleaver, a former player and coach of cricket himself, will assist regular coaches Steve Dighton and Mark Allen in helping run the two teams this year.
Matches for both age groups will start in May and the dates will be sent around to all parents as soon as we get them.
Many of our former Junior players who have now reached an age where they cannot compete in the two sides we run, will be integrated into our senior cricket teams in the coming seasons.
If you have any queries about the above, please do not hesitate to contact Head of Juniors, Steve Dighton at stevedighton@hotmail.co.uk.
