On the 25th of January 2018, another piece of Bluntisham Cricket Club history was created.
Geoff Curtis, Bluntisham Cricket Club's President, signed the paperwork handing over the newly built twin lane astro turf net facility too BCC.
Here is what Geoff had to say after the papers were signed:
"The installation of the new practice nets was completed in mid-January thus bringing a successful conclusion to our endeavours of the past couple of years. Whilst it has, at times, been a frustrating and disappointingly slow process we have ultimately acquired a magnificent facility.
"We are, of course, immensely indebted to Mick George who saw the potential at the club and provided the substantial funding that was required. We were also very fortunate to receive the total support of the Parish Council and invaluable financial contributions from local charities The Feoffees and The Saywell School Trust.
"Our chosen supplier Total Play proved to be every bit as good as we had hoped and carried out the installation in a thoroughly professional manner, on schedule and with no disruption to Village Hall users.
"The Club now has a superb practice facility which can only have a positive impact and will surely advance the playing standards at all levels. We look forward with optimism to the coming season."
